 Recruitment rules...READ THIS!
About us
TDR as a MMORPG guild was founded in 1999 which makes us a stable and well established social community that lasted through many of these games already. We’ve been around in WoW since the first European servers went online in February 2005 and the majority of our members has been with us for most of these three years.
Our members have a broad variety of interests and preferred styles of game play. You’ll find fairly casual people and a minority of PvP focused players alongside those whose primary motivation is endgame raiding progress. Not only do our members boast various interests towards WoW, they also come from all across Europe. We have always been and will stay an international MMORPG guild. Obviously our guild language is English since we want to talk to each other in a language everyone understands.
This recruitment guideline is about people who’d like to be part of our endgame raiding core.
Raiding schedule
Wednesday 20.0 - 24.00 Thursday 20.00- 24.00 Friday no 25 man raid Saturday no 25 man raid Sunday 20.00 - 24.00 Monday 20.00 - 24.00 ( If Bosses are still up) Tuesday 20.00 - 24.00 ( If Bosses are still up)
Times are server times....
We raid up to five nights a week, four and a half hours per night. Our raid meeting time is 19:30 and our raids start at 20:00 from Sunday till Thursday. The exceptions are Friday and Saturday which we take off from raiding. If you compare our schedule to most so called “top guilds” you’ll find it a whole lot less demanding and time intensive. Anyway with less time spent on raiding we need people we can rely on to be present at these times. So if you cannot make it to 3 out of those 5 days it would probably best not to bother about us. In case you are a person who wants to raid every single day for six hours or more the same applies to you since we aren’t raiding as extensively as you’d like to. We think most guilds raid more than they need to, and we prefer to emphasize quality over quantity in terms of time spent.
Behaviour and character traits
A majority of TDR has a full time job, so our playtime is rather limited and we strive to make the most of it. Therefore our tolerance for disruptive behaviour and people with a low attention span on raids is very limited.
Contrary to the application forms for seemingly every other raiding guild on this planet, you do not need an exceptionally "thick skin", nor do you need to love dick jokes, racism, or have a propensity for masochism. Guild chat can be R-rated at times, but it's hardly a defining characteristic of the guild. Especially racial slurs and offensive behaviour are something we dislike. As was already pointed out, we are an international guild with a broad member base. We are open to people from everywhere, men and women alike as long they share our common goals and believes. If you are looking for a raiding guild to support an exceptional masculine ego with virtual satisfaction, you might be wrong here. In case you think your “race” or heritage is superior to the rest of the world, we don’t want you at all. Generally all of our members are supposed to be able to communicate in english. Within an international guild, English is the only common language everyone knows, so it’s a real necessity. We simply don’t have the time or resources to translate tactics or orders all the time.
About you
We are looking for good people, who are mature, and analytical in their approach to the game, while at the same time remaining humble and patient. Primadonnas, drama-mongers, and selfish players don’t need to apply. We are looking for players who learn quickly, do not make the same mistake twice, multitask well, are attentive to their surroundings, and are able to quickly grasp the bigger picture of a given encounter, rather than just their class-specific narrow role. Your history as a player should demonstrate experience and commitment to endgame raiding. You generally should be interested to take part in various guild activities (instances, PvP, flying in circles in Shattrath). Being someone who shows interest in being part of an international social community that has developed and lasted for years is also a big plus. You have to be an intelligent human being, being able to express yourself in a way that does not belie your intelligence.
We don't care if you are God's gift to raiding -- if your ordinary communication consists of "culd u rez plz?? thx" stay far away. Although we might store such applications in case we're ever recruiting for the role of guild jester.
If you're an good player, who perhaps felt that some of the other endgame guilds weren't quite the social atmosphere you had in mind, we may be what you're looking for.
